I have been a science educator in NJ for 13 years. I have taught all levels of chemistry, from Basic through Advanced Placement. As a teacher, I am quick to spot misconceptions that can hold students back. Often students have difficulty with deciphering word problems. Developing a consistent approach to problem solving often makes what was daunting at first, become very clear.
My passion In Chemistry is food science. For five years I owned and operated a bakery. I have also taught classes at Kings cooking studio in Short Hills. In baking, one can see the practical application of different chemical disciplines. So many important concepts can be seen on a practical level such as heat transfer, kinetics, and solubility to name a few.
I have always enjoyed tutoring as it gives me a chance to work with students individually. Watching students succeed and overcome difficulties is very rewarding.
