Jeffrey Klatsky, Ph.D.
Remember how difficult it was the first time your physics teacher said you had to break forces down into components in order to use Newton’s Second Law? Or when they asked you to find the maxima and minima of a complicated function? I sure do – I struggled with those things as well. But I found that with good teachers and some hard work, I was able to master difficult concepts. Through my struggle, I learned how to effectively instruct students in physics and math.
I have my Ph.D. in physics and through earning my degree I have obtained a deep understanding of the field, as well as plenty of experience teaching it. My enthusiasm for teaching physics and math is apparent in my tutoring sessions. This makes students excited to learn and therefore more receptive to the concepts.
Additionally, I know the ins and outs of the math sections on the new SAT and ACT, as well as the SAT Math Level 1 and Level 2 subject tests. AP physics and calculus? Got you covered there as well!
Jeff was great! My son has been feeling completely defeated, but after just one hour with Jeff, the material started to click for him. Jeff was not only able to go over the material but he explained it in the most simple terms possible, and his mild easy manner ensured that my son was immediately at ease. Money well spent!!!!
Jeff helped me learn MCAT physics very well. He took the time to go slowly over things I needed extra time with and explained tough concepts very well. He was also very nice and professional. Overall Jeff was wonderful!
Today was the first meeting between my son and Jeff. He evaluated Steven to identify areas of strength and improvements that will be helpful in his math SAT test taking going forward. We came up with a meeting schedule where he was flexible with my son’s schedule. We look forward to more meetings with Jeff.
