I’m a rocket scientist. No, seriously, I am. I have a PhD in aerospace engineering, and I’ve been designing microchips for the industry for the last 20 years. Clearly, math is my passion. I do it at work, in my spare time, in my sleep. I specialize in tutoring advanced level math, but I am also comfortable with the physical sciences. While I often teach math as a means to an end, I never lose sight of the inherent beauty and consistency of the mathematical landscape. I try to impart my enthusiasm to students by pointing out the (often unexpected) relationships between the various math disciplines. My resume includes teaching assistant fellowships at MIT, where I held office hours to provide one-on-one tutoring. I also return to MIT regularly to give seminars to visiting high school students.
